Examination Results

Key Stage 4

We are proud of the achievements of our Year 11 students, whose examination outcomes have been incredibly strong over many years making Riddlesdown Collegiate one of the highest performing schools in Croydon.

In the summer of 2023, students achieved on average half a grade above the national average, with a Progress 8 score of +0.49. Our Attainment 8 score was 56.3 with 66% of students achieving at least a Grade 5 in both English and mathematics, which is significantly higher than the national average of 45%. The EBacc average points score calculates pupils’ average point score across the five pillars of the English Baccalaureate and at Riddlesdown, this was 4.97 which is nearly one grade above the England average.

Key Stage 5

We have a proud history of strong examination outcomes for our vocational and academic courses at Key Stage 5, with students attaining an average A level grade of a B- and an average BTEC grade of Merit+, with a high proportion of A* grades at A level and Distinction* grades at BTEC.

These excellent results mean our students progress onto some of the best universities including, Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College London, London School of Economics and other Top 30 and Russell Group universities. In addition, students choosing an Apprenticeship route also have a high degree of success. We are incredibly proud that our College VI students aim high and are ambitious about their future careers.
