Admission into Year 7 in September 2026

Congratulations on your child being offered a place at Riddlesdown Collegiate. We are delighted to welcome you and your family to our community. This pre-admission information is designed to ensure a smooth and confident transition into Year 7. Please take the time to explore the information links below with your child before our upcoming Induction Events.

Key Dates for Your Diary

To help you prepare for the start of term in September, please note the following essential dates:

Assessment Morning (Students) – Saturday 6th June. Details regarding your child’s assigned time and group have been emailed to you.

Induction Evening (Parents & Students) – Thursday 2nd July, 5:45pm – 7:45pm. Held in the Main Hall.

Induction Day (Students Only) – Friday 3rd July, 8:45am – 2:45pm.

Hewitts Uniform Sale – Wednesday 8th July, 3:00pm – 6:00pm. Held in the Diner.

Essential Forms

Please ensure the following digital forms are submitted by the deadlines listed below:

Year 7 Information Form needs to be completed by Friday 29th May 2026.

Instrumental Tuition Form (if relevant to your child) needs to be completed by Friday 29th May 2026.

Free School Meals Eligibility & Application

We want to ensure that every student at Riddlesdown Collegiate has access to a nutritious, healthy meal every day to support their learning and well-being. If your family is receiving certain benefits, your child may be eligible for Free School Meals. Applying is quick and entirely confidential. To check the eligibility criteria or to find out how to apply, please visit our Free School Meals at Riddlesdown Collegiate page. Please note that even if your child received free school meals at their primary school, you will still need to reapply for them when they join us.

Students will be informed of their allocated College by the end of June 2026. We look forward to meeting you all in July!
