Important Notice: Changes coming for the Academic Year.

From September 2026, our school day structure is changing. We are moving to a new, optimised model designed to maximise learning time, reduce transition disruption, whilst continuing to offer our students a broad, enriching curriculum.

Our Timetable Structure

To ensure academic variety and deep engagement with all subjects, we operate a 50-period, two-week timetable (split into Week A and Week B).

  • Daily Lessons: Students will attend 5 x 60-minute lessons per day.

  • Curriculum Focus: This 1-hour lesson length provides the perfect balance for deep-dive learning, practical work, and collaborative projects without rushing.

  • Distribution: Individual student timetables will be officially issued on the first day of the Autumn term.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the school day changing?

The transition to 5 60-minute lessons allows us to deliver a highly balanced, broad curriculum while minimising the time lost transitioning between classrooms. Fewer, longer periods mean calmer hallways and deeper focus in the classroom.

How will my child know if it is Week A or Week B?

The school calendar will clearly mark the two-week rotation. This information will also be displayed on the student portal, Arbor, and for Year 7 students inside their physical planner.

Can we see the timetable before the term starts?

To ensure all class allocations and scheduling are perfectly balanced, final student timetables will be printed and distributed on the very first day of term during morning registration.
