Celebrating Success
Outside of the wonderful successes our students have had so far this year with their contributions to sport, the arts and other wider enrichment activities, students continue to set really high standards of success in their approach to learning.
Each week we recognise and celebrate students who have received 5 or more Achievement Points across that week. Achievement points are rewarded for positive contributions to lessons, outstanding work and wider contributions to the community. So far this year, we have sent over 6,800 letters sent to celebrate success. In addition, there are over 560 students who have received their bronze badge and certificate for achieving over 50 Achievement Points. This is a great achievement and demonstrates key qualities of our Riddlesdown Commitment – ambition, determination and resilience. No doubt many more students will go on to achieve this mark in the coming weeks and push towards their silver and gold awards over the course of the rest of the year.
Our 11-16 Colleges, whilst consistent in their approach to success, each have their own individual identities and I know College Headteachers have enjoyed rewarding many students this year with their individual bespoke College awards: Aquila Stars, Orion Kindness & Ambition, Pegasus Proud and The Phoenix Way.
