Under 15 National Elite Finalists
The Year 10 boys finally made their first National Final after three years of searching and many heart breaks. Today they faced an extremely strong Northampton School for Boys team. The last time we played here, Crystal Palace player David Ozoh scored an extra time winner to help Riddlesdown reach its first ever National Finals. The boys dug deep in the first 20 minutes to weather the storm and slowly grew into the game. Chances were few but the boys were clinical when it mattered. Goals from Cody Cole (2) and the skipper Emilio Brazier, who also took MOM for a fantastic display in defence.
With each game the boys grow and today they reaped the rewards for perseverance and showed how much they have developed as a squad. A complete team effort is now rewarded with a special day out at the National Finals. Thank you so much to all the travelling parents who cheered the boys on and the staff that assisted and supported the journey. The boys now travel to Stoke to play in the National Finals at Stoke City FC.
The boys are also on to make a double national final, after beating Collingwood College in the quarter finals 3-0. The boys now travel to Norwich to take on St Thorpe School in the ESFA National Semi-Finals.
