College VI Culture Day
This year College VI Culture Day was organised by ‘The Childhood Project’, our student led volunteer group. Students embraced the chance to celebrate their different cultures by wearing cultural dress with great pride and they certainly did dress to impress! They showcased this with a Parade full of dancing, applause and a display of vibrant colours.
There was also a bake sale at lunch time where students brought in food that represented their culture. There was a mix of sweet and savoury and it was fantastic to see how many of these dishes were homemade by our students.
The money raised on the day was nearly £400 which is going to support UNICEF, who support children worldwide who are facing crisis with humanitarian and developmental aid.
