Core PE Kit Requirements

Compulsory Item

  • Kukri College Polo Shirt (Must feature the Riddlesdown logo)

Standard Kit Options (Choose one style or a mix)

For the remaining kit items, you may choose between Kukri-branded gear or plain black alternatives:

  • Rugby Top: Riddlesdown rugby top (Approved for use in all PE lessons)
  • Shorts: Kukri shorts OR plain black shorts
  • Tracksuit Top: Kukri tracksuit top OR plain black tracksuit top
  • Tracksuit Bottoms: Kukri tracksuit bottoms OR plain black tracksuit bottoms
  • Football Socks: Kukri football socks OR plain black football socks
  • Sports Socks: Plain white sports socks
  • Footwear: Trainers (Any colour or brand)

Important Note on Non-Kukri Items: If you choose to purchase shorts, tracksuit bottoms, or track tops from another retailer, they must be completely plain black. They cannot display any logos, branding, stripes, or other markings.

How to Purchase Your Kit

You can browse and order the official school kit via the Kukri Team Shop.

When ordering, you have three flexible options:

  1. Option 1: Purchase the standard Kukri PE kit featuring the Riddlesdown logo.
  1. Option 2: Purchase the Kukri PE kit without the Riddlesdown logo.
  1. Option 3: Purchase plain black PE items from an alternative retailer of your choice.

Please note: The Kukri online shop is being updated and restocked for the upcoming academic year. The newly streamlined shop will be fully operational as of 1st August. A new female-fit version of the PE shorts will also be available from September.

Recommended Equipment (Not Compulsory)

While not mandatory, we highly recommend the following protective gear and footwear for safety and performance:

  • Football Boots: Highly recommended if students participate in winter team sports.
  • Shin Pads: Recommended for football and hockey.
  • Gumshield: Recommended for rugby and hockey.

A Note on Quality and Affordability

Whilst we are pleased to offer these flexible budget options, we would like to acknowledge the fantastic support provided by Kukri. Working closely with the collegiate, Kukri has reviewed its pricing and reduced the cost of several PE kit items to make them more affordable for families.

Although purchasing Kukri-branded items (outside of the compulsory polo shirt) is entirely optional, we continue to recommend them due to their excellent quality, durability, and value for money. These garments are specifically designed to withstand regular use and frequent washing, helping them last longer and making them a more economical choice over time.
