This week, during assembly, Ms McKeefry awarded two Orion students a certificate to their contributions to the Orion community by demonstrating values of kindness and ambition. The two people who won these awards are Emily and Mason who showed high amounts of success. We spoke to Emily (Year 9) who told us about her previous achievements such as being student of the year and also winning two subject awards at the end of last year. As for Mason (Year 8), he had participated in Beauty and the Beast which was a show preformed in the previous academic year as his hobby is drama. As well as that, Mason had also won the gold-star alongside a collaborative DT badge.

Both of these further reinforce the success of Orion students as at such a young age they have both accomplished great achievements which are extremely difficult to succeed in. Overall, Orion have been an extremely successful as a whole and have contributed to the school’s many accomplishments.
