Over the Easter break a group of students and staff made the journey to Canada for an incredible ski trip to Banff.

On the first day we visited the smaller ski resort of Mount Norquay and students were split into groups based on ability and previous skiing experience. With skiiers of all abilities on the trip there was something for everyone to enjoy. After 5 hours of ski school students and staff had the opportunity to go tubing and a light shower of rain created excellent conditions for some super fast runs. 

The second and third days were spent exploring the beautiful tree lined runs at Lake Louise. The rain had turned to snow overnight so we were blessed with lots of fresh powder snow. The resort was very quiet so we were able to gain maximum enjoyment of the wide runs. For the last two days we made the short coach journey to Sunshine Mountain where we all took the gondola up the mountain to the base area. From there, there was a wide expanse of beautiful snow and although it had started to get busier the lift queues were very short and there was plenty of skiing for everyone. With 5 hours of ski school over 5 days everyone made it up to the higher slopes and the improvement from the start of the week was significant.

We had an action-packed program of activities including tubing, ice-skating, bowling and outlet shopping in Calgary on the last day. Each evening we had a short walk into the picturesque town of Banff with dinner at a different restaurant each day.

Everyone had a fantastic time and the students were a credit to the school with many comments about what great ambassadors they were.
