Riddlesdown Collegiate is proud to be celebrating another successful year of GCSE results in 2025, with improvements in key performance measures and strong signs of sustained academic progress. A particular highlight is the 3% increase in the number of students achieving grades 9–5 in both English and Maths, a key measure of readiness for post-16 study. The school is also pleased to see that students have made strong gains from their starting points, with this year’s cohort showing clear and sustained progress throughout Year 11. These results are a testament to the hard work of our students and the commitment of our staff. The results open the door for students to access a wide range of post-16 opportunities, with many expected to continue their studies at College VI, which last week celebrated another excellent year of A Level and BTEC outcomes.

Outstanding Success in Religion and Worldviews

A standout success story this year comes from Year 10 students in Religion and Worldviews, whose results saw a significant jump in high grades:

  • 33% of all grades were 9–7, up from 20% in 2024.
  • 69% of grades were 9–5.
  • 21 grade 9s were awarded—almost double the previous year’s figure.

These results highlight the strength of teaching in this subject and point to a highly promising outlook for next year’s full GCSE cohort.
