In February, several Year 10 and 11 students participated in the UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge. This is a 60-minute, multiple-choice paper sat by hundreds of thousands of students across the country.

As with the Senior and Junior Challenges, the paper promotes logical and mathematical reasoning, visual perception, and the ability to think laterally to solve problems.

The performances of our students were brilliant, with 59 students receiving a Bronze Certificate, and 30 receiving a Silver Certificate.

A special mention goes to Dylan Mellerio (10SAG), Thomas Pitts (10SAG) and Mila Bruce (11ICS), who all received Gold Certificates. They now progress to the next round and take on the Intermediate Kangaroo Challenge. We are excited to see their results!
